DON'T LIVE ON PAST BATTLES: THE STRATEGY OF MENTAL GUERRILLA WARFARE
(The second strategy)
Nothing weighs us down so often, making us feel unhappy, like our past, and it doesn't matter if it haunts us in the form of worthless attachments, repeated repetition of hackneyed formulas, or savoring past victories and defeats. You must consciously declare war on the past in order to force yourself to respond to the events of the present. Be ruthless to yourself, do not use routine and worn-out techniques. Sometimes it's vital to force yourself to start moving in a new direction, even if it's risky. You risk losing your comfort and coziness, but you can take the enemy by surprise and overwhelm them with your unpredictability. Wage a mental guerrilla war in which it is impossible to determine where the front line runs, there are no vulnerable fortresses in it - everything is mobile and changeable.
