MEDICAL AID IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN
(The problems of transporting the wounded in mountainous terrain and the relevance of the introduction of standard transportation facilities)

The warfare in mountainous areas is characterized by the fragmentation of units, the lack of visual, and often radio communications. Units operating in the mountains perform tasks offline, when they have to rely solely on their own and available logistical resources. In addition, one must keep in mind that due to the emerging dangers of the mountainous environment, military personnel can be injured not only by hostile fire, but also during movement through mountainous terrain.
